Defcon Wifi Shootout "Wi-Fry" Details

The Wi-Fry will consist of a simulated network architecture, featuring a consumer-grade access point, a laptop connected to the AP wirelessly, and a server on the back-end hard-wired to the laptop.  The laptop will be running the AirMagnet Intrusion Prevention System.  However, the AirMagnet IPS will not be "participating" in the contest, but, will be there for monitoring purposes only.

There will be a tiered system of hurdles to be overcome in order to advance:

Tier 1 - Crack WEP
Tier 2 (bonus points and optional) - Break a WPA-Pre Sharred Key
Tier 3 (bonus points and optional) - Take over the AP by cracking the admin password
Tier 4 - Get through the laptop to the wired side and get a file off the Windows share

Bonus points will count against the time it takes to get the file, in case someone gets the file quickly by completing just tiers 1 and 4.  Other players will still have the opportunity to win if they can get past Tiers 2 and 3 and show proof in the form of a screen grab and/or password.

Prize - The Winner will receive a copy of AirMagnet Laptop Analyzer software (a $3500 value).
